  • 2 cups heavy cream 480ml
  • 1 cup unsweetened natural yogurt 240ml
  • 1 cup milk 240ml
  • 1 cup dulce de leche 350g
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 7 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Kit Kat optional
  • More dulce de leche to combine optional
  1. Mix the first 6 ingredients and bring to low heat until hot without coming to boil. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, beat the yolks with the sugar until it is very creamy. Turn off the heat and pour 2 or 3 tablespoons of the hot dulce de leche mixture into the beaten yolks, continue beating at high speed, repeat the procedure until everything is integrated.

  2. Return the mixture to a pot and cook over low heat, stirring every few minutes, taking care not to stick, until it begins to thicken (about 12 to 15 minutes). Remove from the heat and let it cool.

  3. Transfer the mixture to a bowl and freeze for 4 hours or until firm. To make it very creamy, remove from the bowl with a spoon, transfer to a food processor, and pulse until creamy. Return to the bowl and mix with the dulce de leche and the chocolate or kit kat and freeze until ready to eat. (If you want a creamier texture you can re-frezze and re-process a second time before adding the natural dulce de leche and chocolate).
