Chocolate tofu mousse tart

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

Chocolate mousse tart … with tofu? YES!

This tart is the richest I have tasted in my life, even if you do not believe it, tofu goes really well in sweet things. Since it does not taste too intense, it is easy to integrate it into many recipes, and the flavor is given by the other ingredients. Tofu, is a product made from soy, is full of vegetable protein, a protein of very good biological value, which makes this tart, in addition to healthy, full of protein!

This mousse is super light, very fluffy, and extremely creamy, but it maintains the shape, so it does not fall off the cake when you cut it. The crust is my favorite, super simple and with only 3 ingredients, without oven, and so rich!

Do you dare to try the recipe? You will not regret! If the tests tell me, send me an email or comment in the blog post how it came out, if you liked it, or that you would change it, I would love to listen to the advice of those who try my recipes! And if you share a photo on your Instagram or stories tag me like @gaspic_healthyberry so I can see it and I’ll share you in my stories!

Ingredients

Raw crust

  • 3 cups raw walnuts
  • 2 cups pitted and chopped dates
  • 1/2 cup melted coconut oil

Mousse

  • 400 g silken tofu
  • 1/2 cup ecomil almond milk cuisine
  • 1 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 150 g daark chocolate, at least 80% cacao melted
  • 1/3 cup melted coconut oil

Instructions

Crust

  1. Process the nuts until there are no large pieces of them. Add the dates and process until everything is well integrated. Add the oil and process once more. It must be a homogenous mixture, that you can make a ball without it breaking

  2. Put the mixture in a tart mold of 12x30cm (you can use a round mold about 18cm in diameter) and press well against the bottom and edges. Cool for one hour

Mousse

  1. Process the tofu together with the milk until you get a creamy mixture. Add the rest of the ingredients and process *

  2. Put the mousse on the base and cool until it hardens.

  3. Decorate with fruit and enjoy! Keep it in the refrigerator

Recipe Notes

* You will get a fairly liquid consistency, but do not worry, when chilling, chocolate and coconut oil will make the mixture harden and remain with the consistency of mousse

Can you substitute the dates with anything to make it less of a sugar content?

Hi! Ecomil is a brand that has a thick almond milk, almost like almond cream, but if you do not get this brand you can use any other almond milk or coconut cream works well too
