The best brownie in the world

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

These are the best brownies that I tried in my life. And I have eaten many brownies throughout my life. Although brownies do not have a reputation for being a healthy dessert, this one is … or is the healthiest that can be one. With very little flour and almost no oil. But you will ask, then what does this have?? Well, the main ingredient are black beans. No, do not be scared, you will not feel the taste or the texture of these, these brownies will simply remind you of the brwonies that your mother does, or your grandmother. In addition to that, it has a super creamy and delicious ganache. It is difficult to eat only one portion haha

If you love brownies almost as much as me (more is impossible) you should look at this recipe Super duper sweet potato brownie

Ingredients

Brownie

  • 2 cups black beans unsalted
  • 1 cup peanut butter unsalted
  • 4 eggs replacement* or 3 regural eggs
  • 1/3 cup oil sunflower or coconut are the recommended
  • 1 cup coconut or muscovado sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 3/4 cup buckwheat flour
  • 1/3 cup raw cacao powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt

Ganache

  • 100 g dark chocolate
  • 1/4 cup honey, maple syrup or your favourite syrup
  • 1/4 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 190°C

  2. Put the beans and peanut butter in a processor until you get a homogeneous mixture without large pieces of beans.

  3. In a bowl beat the eggs together with the sugar, oil, vanilla, and milk. Add the melted chocolate and mix gently until everything is well integrated.

  4. Add the mixture of beans and peanut butter to the chocolate mixture and mix well. Add all the dry ingredients and mix until you get a homogenous mixture, without lumps, it must be a wet mixture. If necessary add more milk.

  5. Put the mixture in a 20x30 mold with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 minutes or until it is dry on top but still a little wet inside. Cool before cutting

Ganache

  1. Melt the chocolate along with the oil. You can use the microwave. Heat the milk until it is warm and mix everything. Put the ganache on the brownies and cool for 2 hours

Recipe Notes

* You can use an Orgran type egg replacement, or prepare one with 1 teaspoon of flax flour and 3 tablespoons of water for each egg, mix and let stand 15 minutes.

Ah with tahini sounds really good Kerry! Although a whole cup of tahini may is be too much haha. If you have so much tahini you can try it, I recommend adding more sweetener! If you make it with tahini tell me how it turns out pleas! I’d love know

No! Cooked beans…and you can use chickpeas too, although you will not feel the flavor or texture of black beans, I recommend you try them with these
